Big Week

So lots of exciting goings on around here this week.

The first bit of news is that we officially purchased a minivan this week and as of Tuesday it has been sitting in our driveway! I would post pictures of it but immediately after we bought it, it snowed and it is now covered with ice that I still need to clean off. It is a 2004 Toyota Sienna LE with 92,000 miles and it's color is "Salsa Red Pearl". Nichole told me that she secretly always wanted a red car. The best part about it (other than the fact that minivans just make you look plain cool) is that the back seats fold down into the trunk so that we can load up the insane amounts of baby supplies we will need for trips with the twins.

We also had a visit with the midwives on Thursday morning. They checked the heartbeats and both babies seem to be doing well. We seem to have checkups or ultrasounds every two weeks now and it is only going to get busier since at 24 weeks they like to start monitoring the twins even more! The midwife said she thought she felt them moving and sure enough, tonight I was able to feel the babies kick for the first time!

Next weekend we are moving into our new house so we are slowly packing up our current place. It is a wreck with boxes everywhere. I'd say we're about halfway done packing at this point, so not so bad. The new place is at least double the space, so we're really excited about that.

The new address is 752 Hazelwood Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.

I think we've almost finalized our baby registries as well. Nichole has done most of the work on that and is enjoying planning out the nursery. I don't think I quite realized how much stuff a baby needs, not to mention two. More details forthcoming.
