Fall at Cedar Falls Park

Fall in Greenville is really lovely!  There are festivals every weekend and so many nice parks.  This particular park is pretty new and was funded by some company who was fined for polluting this beautiful river.  It is a real shame because the water looks SO inviting and you can't tell from these pictures but it is shallow and lots of rocks you could wade around and slide on.  Big bummer.  I always think how fun it would be to go tubing in this river.  PS - This is the same river... Reedy River that runs from down town, through our development and onto this nice park... all polluted... oiy!  

But we still found it very enjoyable.  A 15 minute hike brought us though a lovely paved forest trail to this waterfall.

Until someone gets hurt.
Recently, Gabriel's cry has reverted to its original saddest-cry-in-the-world that he had as a baby.  Or maybe it is this pregnancy that makes me again perceive it that way.  But really, look how cute he is sad!

He has needed a lot of these hugs lately.   SO sad cry, little sweet hug and then he is all better and running back to play with David.

Soak it up, the only pic of Peter!  He was having too much fun taking pics of us in this "perfect light" to do more than let me attempt another head shot for the website for him.

Another very cool playground.  I love that the parks all have different playground equipment around here. Such unique structures to play and climb on.  There was also a lovely giant bench swing for the pregnant mothers... how thoughtful!
