Where the Wild Things Will Be!

This week we finally got our mattresses and so could finish some of the preparations for the babies! We set up one of the cribs in our room, attached to our bed... effectively "side-carring" it. We are hoping to keep the babies here until around 3 months for convenience of mid-night feedings.

And here are some pictures of our nursery. Peter has done most of the work getting it all ready. I mostly participated by lying on the floor while he did things like iron the curtains, hang up the wild thing stickers and posters, set up the crib and put together our "tree". These pictures don't show it but we have an awesome green shaggy rug (resembling grass) perfect for lounging in the middle of the room.

Here is our sweet changing table that my mom and michael found at a twin club sale. Apparently it was the hottest item at the sale and Michael had a hard time protecting it from other shoppers. For the babies viewing pleasure during diaper changes, Peter created a wild thing mural from sweet wall stickers. Sitting on the dresser is our awesome night light. It is a lady bug thats back glows and projects stars all over the room!

Here is our tree. We think it needs another leaf but haven't had the opportunity to go all the way out to ikea to get one. It is really nice having so much shelving!

Here is the shelf where the wild things hang out. They look friendly right? What child wouldn't want to be best friends with them? Mike Wazowski & Sulley think they are cool...

  1. Your nursery has come together so nicely with the changing table a wonderful, useful addition to the room. The monsters lined up together on the shelf are so cute and whimsical! You and Peter are a creative pair!!

  2. I remember when a young couple made the 'MIke & Sully' figures as Christmas presents for each other. Now they are building their baby nursery theme around them. Who would have guessed!

  3. It's been 4 weeks since the last 'belly' picture. We are all curious as to how big Nichole is now. I think there is a general consensus by all your blog visitors that a new picture is needed.

  5. Since yesterday's request for a belly picture is out-of-date, the new request is for pictures of the boys - David and Gabriel - and mom & dad. Looking forward to a Pittsburgh visit with the McPherson clan very soon!
