Introducing David Andrew and Gabriel Joseph McPherson!

Yesterday evening, Nichole started having contractions coming every 7 minutes on the dot so we called the hospital and they told us to come on in to get checked out. We weren't quite sure what was going to happen since she had been having a lot of contractions normally. We snapped a quick picture of Nichole's belly, grabbed our suitcase, and ran out the door. 

When we got to the hospital at around 10, we found out that she was dilating and the contractions were coming faster. The physicians waited about an hour and a half before making the decision to do a c-section since the labor was not stopping and both babies were still breech. 

David Andrew was born at 12:56 AM and Gabriel Joseph was born two minutes later at 12:58 AM. David was 5lbs 3oz and Gabriel was 4lbs 8oz. They cried loudly as soon as they were delivered and promptly peed on the OR staff.

After a little while we got moved over to a post partum room where we will be until Monday or Tuesday. We are enjoying all the time with the little guys. They are having a little bit of a hard time regulating their body temperatures so they have to stay in an incubator when they aren't feeding. They get to sleep right next to each other in it, and seem really happy in there. The baby in the front of this picture is David.
