The boys are growing fast! David gained a full 3 pounds in his first month and Gabriel gained 2. The pediatrician told us that 1.5 is what they were hoping for, so we are really proud of them. They are also not sleeping as well at night as they used to. They seem to want to eat all the time now! David spent 2 1/2 hours in a swing a couple of nights ago because that was the only place he was happy. They make us laugh all the time though with their funny poses and faces. Here are some pictures of the last couple weeks...
My old friend Gina from high school drove from Virginia to meet the little guys and even made them a mix tape for them to listen to!
My sister's Stephanie and Jennifer came to help out for a week. Jennifer brought her 4 month old son Paul who dwarfed David and Gabriel! As you can see from the picture the boys didn't know quite what to think about their cousin Paul.

The boys also came down with fevers recently and we had to take them to the hospital. Since they were preemies, they were automatically admitted for several days (along with spinal taps and IV's). Remember that old adage about not waking a sleeping baby? Well the nurses woke them just about every hour or two! We did learn several good things during the stay. The first was that we found out that twins get a double room all to themselves which definitely made things easier for us. The other good news was that the babies only had a small viral infection and got to go home pretty quickly. No fevers now and they are back to their old selves.
Thanks for sharing the pictures and the updates on the boys. You and Nichole are doing a great job handling all of these ups and downs -good practice for the next 18 years. Looking forward to seeing how much they have changed when we are in Pittsburgh in late July.
