Aunt Samantha and her friend Joanna came to help us out. They were here for about two weeks cooking, cleaning, and most importantly, changing diapers. We think Aunt Samantha has come a long way since she first met the boys and was scared of their diapers.
We took a trip to see the grandparents over the 4th of July weekend. Here the boys are trying to ride Maggie the dog. Unfortunately the boys are too big for her now. She is only 4 1/2 lbs.
Gabriel is very excited to be hanging out with Grandpa while David is enjoying taking a nap on G'mom. They liked the 95 degree temperatures because it reminded them of their incubator (and mom too). The spent most of their days outside, where they like it best.
We dropped off the girls during our trip back so we are now on our own. Fortunately lots of very nice friends are bringing us meals. It has been pretty good in the evenings, but Nichole has her hands full during the day when I am gone. Despite the craziness, we are loving every minute of it. We will have lots of good stories to tell them someday.
As usual, the boys continue to make us laugh with all the funny things they do. Here they are with their pacifiers attached to stuffed animals. They are able to hold them on to them relatively well (until they get too excited). We also got the cool quilt they are laying on free from Children's Hospital during their stay. One of them has robots on it and the other has pirates. If Gabriel continues to act like me (as my family informs me) he will probably get the robot quilt, while the slightly more wild David (who we think takes after the Bailey side) will get the pirate quilt.
No posing for this shot. The boys just manage to tangle themselves up all the time.
They also like to copy each other (getting sick, crying, waving "hi"). We tried going to the grocery store last night and within 10 minutes they were both wailing. At that point all you can do is laugh and run to the check-out line as fast as possible, while dodging well meaning but curious people!
We are always so thrilled to see new pictures of the boys and how they have grown! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThey are getting chubbier!! These pictures are great, I love the one of them all tangled up while sleeping.
ReplyDeleteThey have really put some weight on since I saw them 3 weeks ago - Gabriel's face has really filled out. How much do they weigh now?
ReplyDeleteseriously i'm sitting by myself and laughing out loud. The stuffed animal pacifiers, the boys all tangled up and gabriel waving goodbye. Man keep these posts coming!
