A few weeks ago Peter went on a weekend hunting trip with the McPherson men so my parents kindly came out to help me take care of David & Gabriel. We has such a great time!
Saturday morning we went to the National Aviary in pittsburgh. It is a really nice place for cold winter days. The boys love looking at and helping to feed the birds.
(This was one of my first attempts with our new lense so that is why some of the pictures are blurry. Sorry!)
Pelican
African penguin named Pre that was showing off for Gabriel.
These are viewing bubbles where you could pop up and get a closer view at the penguins if they were hanging out on those rocks.
I love this picture of Gmom & David.
This was right before my dad whisked Gabriel away from being pooped on from above (nice save dad!)
(See the porcipine on Gabriel's shirt... from Crazy 8... that is a fun store! Davids is from their too... his is a fire dog)
They really like all the metal bird statues... :)
This is one of those moments when i should have been reprimanding my son but was taking pictures instead. David is hanging from a hand rail with his feet up on the glass looking at a sea eagle.
Gmom works out for moments like this...
Books, books and more books... Gabriel and David love reading and that is probably the one word they say most often "book"!
Sunday the tumbling begins! Former cheerleading captain Gmom had a few things to teach the boys...
David is clapping because it is so much fun.
These videos do better justice to their shananaghans. :)
Their grandparents sure know how to stir them up! Thankfully they are also wonderful at calming them down...
Sorry it took me so long to get this posted! Thanks so much for all your help and love mom and dad! We really enjoyed your visit!!!
What a neat place to go! And it looks like everyone had a great time! I love the picture of David hanging from the rail. haha! And they are soo busy! All day long you just save their lives don't you! Save them from hurting themselves and/or each other. You just need a large padded room, wouldn't that be awesome!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great visit! Boys are so much fun. And I never realized how much you look like your mother!
ReplyDelete@Mary, thanks haha! Yeah i get my youthful looks from her! @Jennifer... I love that picture with David on the glass too. I feel like it sort of captures their essence right now which is "climbing up the walls"! I am kinda surprised the cribs still hold them. You are right about the padded room... i do dream of this! Also leashes... i have been thinking a lot lately of how often i would use those! haha
