Snow days

The boys were excited to see the snow but not very interested in going out into the cold.  I finally had to trick them outside by asking them to deliver letters to the mailbox. But as soon as they stepped outside, they started having a blast... just look at David!

They came back inside but wanted to go right out again in the back yard. They were so excited they wouldn't put gloves on.

Most of these pics are not the best... sorry.  I was leaning out of windows and doorways to get them but not too interested in slipping in the snow.

David is cold

The snow was perfect for snow balls

And it is always time to play with cars.
 Snow ball fight with daddy!

Rain boots work pretty well in loo of snow boots but they were a bit big for Gabriel and kept falling off.  He was such a good sport and wouldn't cry or even ask for help when it happened.  Day 2 we followed Gmom's advice and stuffed his boots with towels which solved the problem.

I have really missed seeing David's super sweet smile (the disposition of 3 year olds is not so smiley) but he had one on his face every time he went down the hill.

After they were pushed down the driveway and into the street, David started freaking out because they were in the street.  He yelled at Peter for putting them in the street. :)

These snow days have been a real blessing ... no baby yet and nothing to be done for the dental office SO lots of great family time. In addition to adventures in the snow, we have played a few games as a family and read lots of books.  Everyone has been catching up on sleep and Daddy and Gabriel did some baking. We will welcome the 50 degree weather tomorrow but I am so thankful for these wonderful snow days!

  1. Great pictures and videos! What a fun surprise to have some snow days for everyone to enjoy together. Peter was getting a workout putting the boys up the hill and in the sled! Loved their smiles! And how neat that the Lord has blessed you with some much needed family time to rest and enjoy fun together before the baby arrives. His timing is absolutely perfect.

  2. I started laughing out loud at how hard it was for david and gabriel to get to the top of the hill.
