Blessed Company :)

We were blessed to have so much company right from the beginning of our life here so that we haven't had too many opportunities to feel lonely yet.  Peter's parents were here for five days or so and were a huge help with the kids.  Peter and I were able to leave the house and go buy furniture and work on unpacking without any distractions.  Unfortunately, we were too busy to get many pictures... and none of Mark (sorry Mark!).

While Papa was busy helping Peter with odd jobs, Nana was educating the boys about tools.  (Don't let her sweet smile fool you... this lady knows her tools... I was surprised.)

David sporting a tool... I am not even sure which one... maybe a wrench???

I know that one is a wrench.

Gabriel creating a diversion... David trying to break into the garage.

They are still loving their backyard.  The sand in the table is almost gone after a week.
Our friend Natasha and her girls brought the sunshine with them when they came to visit.  For the last five days it has been sunny and close to 60.  Today it is 67.  We will be needing to get the boys sunglasses and baseball caps!  (Batman is especially sensitive to the sun... some days he prefers to watch Gabriel play through the tinted door.)

Love this picture.  They are enjoying a goldfish picnic.
Audrey is a peach and did a great job keeping up with the older kids.  She is 15 mo their junior.

Guess what he did next? Yep, hit Katherine in the face with the stick.  That was the end of that stick.  Too bad the trees keep giving the boys new ones... Nana called them garbage trees because they drop a lot of stuff.  I suppose we could gather them and burn them in our fireplace!

The girls played so nice together.  Katherine is seriously athletic... putting the boys to shame with her soccer skills.

Playing red light, green light.  It was the boys idea to push their lawn mowers.  They LOVE the noise they make when they run.

Saying sad goodbyes.  The boys really loved being united with their oldest friend.  I didn't think they would really remember Katherine but right from when she walked in the door they were having a ball together.
So Sweet.
Thanks friend!  You are one amazing mama to come 6 hours by yourself with your girls!

  1. Other than the fact that my hair looks SO much more red that I ever want, it might be our best picture to date! We'll just crop Audrey out of it. ;)
