12 Days of Christmas!

Christmas Morning

The boys were at a really great age for Christmas this year.  They went to bed early Christmas eve and stayed quietly in their beds all night.  I was up first working on the birthday cake for Jesus (Caramel Apple).  It was fun to see David come out and find his "super duper car ramp" from Santa.  He was SO excited he didn't even notice all the other gifts. David tried to wake Gabriel mentioning of course how Santa had come and brought them their ramp and some new cars but Gabriel wouldn't budge.  He just rolled back over and went back to sleep.  David had to bring the box of new cars into the room and carry them up to the top bunk to entice Gabriel to come out.  Then we all pitched in to rouse Daddy which was difficult too.  The boys commenced playing with their new toy and didn't even notice the other presents for a long while!  But when they did... they really enjoyed them.

See, not the expression you would expect a child to have Christmas morning.

David looks Russian or something ... so serious!

Gabriel got into a present unwrapping groove.

Funny they can be so excited about these figurines despite that they have never seen the show.

Even now the boys insist these cones are construction hats and NOT cones.

The larger cones can be either a megaphone for shouting construction orders OR houses for cars (you know from the movie Cars)
David was slower with unwrapping. Daddy is showing him the puzzle ball.

We took a break.  You can see the potential mayhem better from this direction.  The cars speed around the track and can crash into each other.
We did get dressed up on Christmas, though this was the only pic I grabbed.  David did not like his hat, haha.
I would call this Gabriel's first accident in months but that would not be accurate since he INTENTIONALLY made this puddle for his remote control car which can go in the water.  Literally 2 seconds after I told him the car was all terrain and could go in water, he froze and just peed on the floor.  When he came back from getting cleaned up and found we had cleaned up his puddle, he was so mad "that was for my car!"  Oh, three year olds.

Love this!

Lots of soccer and lots of wiggle dances by Gabriel.  The wiggle dances now make everyone jump to since we know he doesn't mind peeing in his pants!

Leah stood apart from the boys... sweet and snuggly, quiet and not crazy!

Uncle John kept the fire pit going most of the time we were there... he was the kids hero!

Uncle Patrick and Aunt Stephanie were always covered in kids.
Ok line up for a nice picture.
No normal smiles here. My kids can't help themselves.  I don't know where they get this stuff.

The cousins really showing off for the camera:) So amazing!

Merry Christmas!
