So I know I am a very infrequent blogger but today I want to try something new... a short blog written in less than 15 min.
While I was working on my computer today, Gabriel informed me that Hiro (his train) needed a battery. In the very truthful way 3 year olds can have, he explained that he had left the train on and so the battery had lost its power and was now dead. The battery needed to be changed. I informed him that I would see to it as soon as I finished my email. Gabriel agreed to this but decided to stand next to me and talk. So then I stopped to tell him that I could finish my email faster if he went away and played with something else and I would bring him his train. He thought for a moment and said "I am just going to wait". I tried to keep working. Gabriel kept talking. So then I said, "would you rather I listen to you talk or finish the email and fix your train?" Gabriel surprised me with his answer "listen to me talk". Haha, maybe you won't enjoy that story but I do, because I think Gabriel is sometimes like me. :)
When I finally got around to changing the battery, David was there too and he was so funny ... cheering me on. "MOMMY you are doing great! You are doing great Mommy!" Three year olds can be so funny. I loved his encouragement. I was a little annoyed that he thought I needed it to change a battery but it was sweet.
